The idea was simple. I kept our bestselling categories in our top-level menu and put the rest in an "Other categories" dropdown.

I wanted to nudge people toward bestselling cats and make our navigation less overwhelming.

The results:

• Conversion rate: +0%

• Revenue/session: 11.59%

• Probability to be best: 95%

• Sessions: 60.530

I recommend using click data from heatmaps or sales data if you don't know which categories are your bestsellers.
